What it does

Lets an assistant retrieve the full transcript of a YouTube video by URL, useful for summarising talks, extracting quotes, and grounding answers in video content.

Like any MCP server, YouTube Transcripts plugs into MCP-compatible assistants (such as Claude and other clients) so the model can use it as a tool , no custom integration code required.
